Background
I am a Computer Science student at Louisiana Tech University. Based in Ruston, Louisiana, my work lies at the intersection of systems architecture and applied AI engineering, with a focus on RAG pipelines, safety guardrails, and self-hosted tools.
1. Where I’m building from
Currently studying and building in Ruston, Louisiana. As a student and student assistant at Louisiana Tech, my transition from self-taught coding to systems engineering has been driven by solving concrete infrastructure problems and building diagnostic chatbot systems.
2. Why AI engineering
I focus on AI engineering because LLMs require strict boundaries and structure to be useful in professional workflows. I enjoy building the guardrails, retrieval strategies (RAG), and data normalization layers that make AI outputs reliable and secure.
3. What I’m focused on now
I am currently completing the SleepNavigator Project 2 handoff. This includes finalizing patient query log testing, documenting RAG boundaries, preparing code logs, and recording walkthrough assets to demonstrate bot behavior under strict safety limits.
4. How I work
I build verifiable systems and write clean, structured code. My focus is on applied AI, RAG integrations, and tools that are easy to deploy, document, and hand off. I avoid hype and concentrate on empirical testing, safety triggers, and self-hosted control.
